I have been harassed by them for the last couple of days over an unpaid one month's insurance DD of £61! I missed a DD one month in September and instead of representing it as most do, the insurance company, Towergate cancelled the DD facility and the first i knew of this was when they send me a letter in October saying that as i had not paid this and the DD was now cancelled they had cancelled the policy. I assumed we were all done, the relationship was over, i moved on, got new insurance, better policy, half the price and forgot all about them, now last week, end of November get this lot phoning and phoning and phoning my work number! This is all for £61 and the letter i got implied pay up or we will end it. There was no reference to pay up or we will end it and demand the unpaid month's instalment with menaces!
Now i have no issue with paying it, did so this morning, but they are very heavy handed and they are not in full possession of all the facts and can be very, very intimidating, for what has been fundamentally a small amount of money. End of the day, the insurance company have lost a policy out of this, i have a much better deal, so it all kind of did me a favour in a funny way, but man are they up themselves!!!
